Contactless Payments

More ways for you to ride

No cash, no QuickTicket, no problem! Now, customers can use their contactless credit card, debit card, or mobile wallet to ride with WeGo, using tap-to-pay. Just tap the validator as you board.

Credit cards accepted include Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards that display this symbol ?Rmode=Max&Amp;Width=11&Amp;Height=14

Via mobile device you can use: Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Once you tap your card or device, the fare starts..

(Pro tip: When paying with a contactless card, we highly recommend physically taking the card out of a wallet or card holder to avoid card clash. This is when a reader detects multiple cards at the same time and reads neither card or reads one card on one trip and a different card on another trip, resulting in additional fares being charged.)

Tap all day. Never overpay.

Our system tracks each trip you make when you use the same payment method on the fare validator each time you board a bus.

At the end of the day, the amount you will be charged will be either $2 for 2 hours or $4 for the entire day. This method of charging you the lowest fare for riding is called “fare capping.” In addition, once $65 in fare is spent in one calendar month on the same payment option, the rest of the fares for that month are free!

This payment option does not take the place of QuickTicket. We hope to provide an additional, simple solution for visitors, occasional riders, and those new to public transit. We also still accept exact cash for those who would prefer to pay that way. Qualifying youth and discount riders need to continue using the QuickTicket system to receive the discounted fare.

One card, one person

As with our fare payment system, QuickTicket, each person must ride with their own card or device. If you are traveling with multiple people in your party, a separate payment method must be used for each person, even children.

Check your previous payments/trips

If you want to view your trips and payments made during the previous four months, enter your card details below (don't worry your card details are captured for verification purposes only and not for payment).

If you think you have been overcharged, you will be able to check exactly what we charged you for each journey, and then compare this to what appears on your bank statement. Please be aware that the date your payment appears on your bank statement will not be the same as the date you travelled, it will usually be a few days later.
